Where can I dance in Chicago?




Chicago is a great city for swing dancers; there is a venue for dance every night of the week!
The Calendars on Windy Hop and This Week in Chicago are great online resources for dancers in town.


Recurring social dances include, but are not limited to:


Fizz at DCC (Dance Center Chicago) every Monday night  | Beginners Lesson: 8-9pm, Open Dancing: 9pm - 12am | Suggested Donation $7/$5 for students) | BYOB

First Fridays at Big City Swing on the first Friday of every month |Beginners Lesson: 8-9pm, Open Dancing: 9pm - 12am | $10

Bluetopia on the last Saturday of every month | Beginners Blues Lesson: 8-9pm, Open Dancing: 9pm 2am |  $10/$9 for students

Live Music!

 
The Flat Cats play at the Alhambra Palace Restaurant (pictured above) on one Wednesday of every month with a special guest | Beginner Lesson: 8-8:30pm, Open Dancing: 8:30-11:30 pm | $15

The Fat Babies play every Sunday at the Honky Tonk (8pm | Free)
and every Tuesday at the Green Mill Lounge (9am-1pm | $6). Both events are not organized dances, but dancing is encouraged.
